If it is your first meeting with us, you should bring two forms of identification.  One piece of photographic ID such as a Passport or Photographic driving licence and one document for your proof of address such as council tax bill, utility bill and/or bank statement – these should be documents dated within the last 3 months preferably.

If you have any questions with regards to identification, you can contact us before your meeting.  You should also look to bring any documentation that you think may assist the solicitor with your file/matter.

We are based at 105 Market Street, Hyde, Cheshire SK14 1HL.

You can still instruct us to act on your behalf in relation to your matter even if you don’t live locally.

We have many clients that have moved away from the area and still look to instruct us to assist them with their legal needs. Our aim is to be your preferred solicitor no matter where you are based- this will be even if you are a new or an existing client.

In most instances your first initial appointment for legal advice with us will be free. It will be during this meeting that we can determine whether we can assist you with your enquiry or not.  At this point, we can inform you of the anticipated legal costs for your matter.

We take a lot of pride in ensuring that we offer a welcoming environment for our clients. We are of course here to assist you with your legal needs. We look to assist our clients at what can already be a difficult and stressful time for them and so being as approachable and trusting as possible is important to us.

We have the facilities to store your original Will with us at the firm should you wish to do so and we do not charge for the service.

Solicitors costs are our fees for acting on your behalf in carrying out your instructions.

Disbursements are fees that we incur on your behalf for the purposes of dealing with your file. Examples of disbursements include anything such as court fees, land registry search fees, land registry copy fees etc. Generally speaking, disbursement costs should be the same cost or similar, no matter which firm of solicitors are employed to carry out your instructions.

Details of our solicitors costs and anticipated disbursements will be provided to you at the outset of your matter before we begin your file.
